PLACE OF ORIGIN: SFAKIA
PLACE OF BIRTH: BELGIUM
COMPANIONSHIPS: Greeks, Moroccans, Turks, Poles, Egyptians and Italians
FAVOURITE TOY: strumming on the strings of his brother’s lute for interminable hours, enchanted by their sound.
FIRST CONCERTS: at four, his audience: family and friends.
REPATRIATION: Chania, at nine.

The ‘child-prodigy’ attracts the attention of the people and of the top-notch traditional lyre-players of the time. He records with great lyre-player Klados and plays with him for five years and then Mountakis, another eminent lyre-player, invites him to play. They tour in Canada. They also record at the University of Crete.

At eighteen, he has his own band: lute, lyre, percussion instruments, guitar, contrabass and violin. He travels in Greece, in America, in Canada, in Germany giving concerts.

1993 «Pali-Pali», his song, recorded in ACHTIDES.

1997 NIKOS MAMAGKAKIS: “a great turning point in his
musical education and not only”. – stayed next to great composer for seven years - «Ta tragoudia tis palias polis» (Songs of the Old Town), based on the lyrics of late poet, Giorgos Kalomenopoulos seal the two men’s friendship.
