One of my personal magnificent musical findings for the last time. Great musical vibe, indeed!

Scott has mentioned in numerous interviews that he considers Boards of Canada one of, if not the predominant, influence in his music. He did an AMA on Reddit last year and was asked, "How do you feel about the comparison that is often made between yourself and Boards of Canada? Were you inspired by them?" and responded: "I feel honored to ever be mentioned in the same breath as BOC. Absolutely I was and am very inspired by them." Music, like all art, doesn't come out of an abstract vacuum of nothingness -- society is a collective and everything is borrowed. Borrowing from one of the greatest and most influential ambient electronic artists of all time isn't a bad way to go.

Listened to 'Awake' after Com Truise's 'In Decay' almost felt like the same artist, so I'd definitely recommend that album if you want something similar.

Please anybody, I need to know where the samples used on "in the end" off of the science of patterns EP come from. Please.

As others have said, Dive is heavily influenced by BoC and similar artists. That doesn't mean it's bad though. Other than "From Home," all my favorite Tycho tracks are from Dive.

Don't understand the hate for Tycho's new album. I think it sounds quite good to be honest.

Awake sounds like cookie-cutter muzak sometimes. I can basically enjoy it, but it's seriously lacking in any creative impulses. [2]
