Founded by Nick Phoenix and Thomas J. Bergersen in March 2006 and based in Santa Monica, California, Two Steps from Hell is a company specializing in composing music for motion picture advertising. As is usual with trailer music, most of their releases are not sold commercially and are available for licensing only. They have released 20 albums thus far (chronologically: Two Steps from Hell - Volume 1, Shadows and Nightmares, Dynasty, All Drums Go to Hell, Pathogen, Nemesis , Dreams and Imaginations, Legend, Ashes, The Devil Wears Nada, Power of Darkness, Invincible, Illumina, All Drones Go to Hell, Balls to the Wall, Faction, Nero, Archangel, Halloween, and Skyworld), of which only Invincible, Archangel, Halloween, and Skyworld are available for public purchase. Since the release of their first album in 2006, their music has been featured in trailers for movies like Babel, Flyboys, Superman Returns, Blood Diamond, The Da Vinci Code, X-Men: The Last Stand, The Hitcher, Hannibal Rising, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, WALL•E, Anna Karenina and many others.

    Honestly, as a TSFH listener for years now, most of their latest albums aren't as good. I currently find more and more other trailer companies that are making much better music than TSFH.
