Tsar is a rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1998, with Jeff Whalen on lead vocals and guitar, Daniel Kern on vocals and guitar, Jeff Solomon on bass, and Steve Coulter on drums. They released an eponymous album on Hollywood Records in 2000, which, although a financial disappointment for the label, is considered a hook-laden classic by a growing number of power pop fans.

In 2004 Chuck Byer replaced Coulter and in 2005 Derrick Forget replaced Solomon. In 2005 Tsar released its second full album, Band-Girls-Money, on TVT Records. The album had been recorded nearly two years earlier with Coulter and Solomon.

Here's the deal.... I bought one of their cds (Band Girls Money), but it has copyright protection on it, and for as hard as I try, I can't find any way to get past it to put in on my itunes. Anyone have a link where I could download it? I'm not into stealing music...I bought the cd! But it won't download to itunes because of the protection. Anyone help me out?? I saw this band open for the Marvelous 3 in 2000 when I was a senior in high school. I bought their album the next day. I went through my adolescence listening to mostly angsty grunge rock, but that show/album completely changed my life!
