Shatter (4:56)

Cover of Shatter (EP)

From Shatter (EP) and 3 other releases

As of today, I decided to upload the lyrics of “Shatter”, for it will be released as an EP in October anyway.

Here they are:

I don’t want to feel
I don’t want to see
I don’t want to love
I don’t want to live

I don’t wish to drown in the beauty of your eyes
I don’t wish to remember the warmth of your embrace
I don’t wish to bleed on your altar of demise
I don’t wish to wither among the petals of disgrace

Why did you cast me into a bottomless pit of pain?

Why did you cast me into a bottomless pit of pain?
My love a sacrifice in your temple of disdain
Why did you cast me into a bottomless pit of pain?

Evil ot tnaw i
Evol ot tnaw i
Ees ot tnaw i
Leef ot tnaw i

To feel is suffering
To feel is rejection
To feel is despair
To feel is to die

The air liquefies as it enters my shattered lungs
Darkness enwraps my mind as blood stains your skin
My heart pierced by thorns of words that now seem wrong
I yield to the darkness of the agony deep within

Evil ot tnaw i
Evol ot tnaw i
Ees ot tnaw i
Leef ot tnaw i

Why did you cast me into a bottomless pit of pain?
Why did you cast me into a bottomless pit of pain?
My love a sacrifice in your temple of disdain
Why did you cast me into a bottomless pit of pain?

Why did you cast me into a bottomless pit of pain?
Why did you cast me into a bottomless pit of pain?
My love a sacrifice in your temple of disdain
Why did you cast me into a bottomless pit of pain?

I don't have the words to say how much is this song is dark and heavy. It feels like a 1,000 lb guy jumping on my spine.

@DragonBottles If I recall correctly, Triptykon (like Monotheist-era Celtic Frost) don't have a traditional "record deal" but rather a distribution deal, in which they pay for the cost of recording and producing the album themselves and then license a record company to get the album to retailers. The band retains the rights to the music and can do what they please with it after the terms of the distribution deal (usually after x amount of CDs are distributed) are up. In these kind of deals, bands often do get a sizable chunk from CD sales and very often the majority of the money goes directly to the band. Steve Vai, for example, did this with his album Flex-Able and he gets $7.50 per CD (http://www.guitarworld.com/article/steve_vai_flex_appeal?page=0%2C1). Therefore, buying Triptykon's music is probably a really good way of supporting the band.
