Biography

Signed to Manchester indie label Stutter Records on their electronic and dance sub-label Electric 101 by virtual handshake in 2011, scifitronica artist Trinity Ward takes you on a science fiction inspired journey from Earth to beyond. The music is heavily atmospheric and spans the genres of IDM, dance, electro, electronica, scifitronica, space music and techno, with moods ranging from triumphantly uplifting to dark as the depths of space.

The science fiction themed electronic music is popular with fans of Orbital, Vangelis, Boards of Canada, Jean Michel Jarre, Kraftwerk, BT, and Enigma.

Formed in 2006, the next four years of recording yielded two albums.

Released in 2010, Enter the Infinite is a powerfully atmospheric album depicting man’s journey from Earth to the stars. The story begins with the first transmission of Sputnik and the launch of a Saturn V rocket, then continues into the great inky void between the edges of the universe and a chance encounter with a derelict alien craft.

2011 saw the release of Echoes from Earth, a juxtaposition of uplifting burbling electronica and melancholy, as heard from the perspective of an alien scout ship ghosting through curtains of clouds. As it samples the sounds of Earth, human emotions rise and fall through the atmosphere like echoes on a breeze.

Immediately after the release of the second album, Stutter Records approached Trinity Ward to record an album for the debut release of their new sub-label, Electric 101, for release in 2013. Prior to this, a mini-compilation called “This Is 101” was released on February 5 2013, featuring stablemates Static Island and SiYCoN.
