  • Op 14 augustus 1996, tijdens de opening van de Amsterdam ArenA, zong Trijntje Oosterhuis voor een publiek van 50.000 mensen en miljoenen TV-kijkers de door John Ewbank geschreven hymne De zee. Dit optreden resulteerde in een top-10 hit en enorm veel media-aandacht. Mooi!
