Trent Steel of Edinburg, Texas, is Simon Alexander, Kevin Martin, Phillip Chairez, and Patrick Cunningham. (Guitar/Vocals, bass, drums, and guitar, respectively.) The band was formed in late 2001, and has since then flourished, producing some of the most novel and prevalent music the deep South Texas music scene has to offer.

Even though their music’s process of creation is extremely important to them when it comes to song writing, they all agree that without the bond they share as friends, none of what has happened for them might have been possible. They stand firm in the belief that it’s a strong mutual understanding, a sentence-finishing affinity, that has helped them write such worthwhile music. It is an eagerness for seeing life as an all or nothing chance. One where you can go through it like you would an instruction manual — predispositioned and routine — or one where you take firm grasp of the one thing you are imperiously compelled to do, and mercilessly do it.

Trent Steel, as a band, has a sound that is intriguing, emotional, intense and candid. As a guild, they are determined, compatible, and compassionate. These attributes give their music a peircing identity impossible to imitate. Not to mention a damn good show.
