Lavinia Blackwall has played previously with Neilson in Directing Hand and is a member of The Pendulums. Mike Hastings has played previously with Lavinia Blackwall in various projects including The Pendulums and is a songwriter and solo guitarist, as well as being one half of Mike And Solveig. Simon Shaw is also a member of Glasgow folk-rockers Lucky Luke.
The band’s albums include Carbeth (2009), Abandoned Love (2010), and The Constant Pageant (2011).

@ tjd9 and yug23. My comparison on TB with Incredible String Band was actually based on only one song 'Adieu, England'. Which i still find strinkingly resemblant. Also are ISB along with Fairport Convention much stated as influences in reviews of their 'Carbeth' album. But i listened to some more songs and must agree that the similarities aren't that big indeed. Sad enough, i didn't find it as strong as 'Adieu, England' either. Or am i listening to the wrong tracks?

God, I love Trembling Bells. I have not felt this away about a (current) band for a very long time.

I do see similarities between TB and the Incredible String Band, in fact they did a double-sided single with Incredibles co-founder Mike Heron and are doing a gig with him in May this year. Obviously TB are much harder-edged but the style of songwriting is not that dissimilar, especially things like 'The End is the Beginning Born Knowing'; that could be an ISB title and the song reminds me of them too.
