Torpedo Rodeo is a rock band from Vermont that was formed in the summer of 2008 as a temporary side project of vocalist/bass player Nick Sherman, vocalist/guitarist Max Krauss, and drummer Jeremiah Johnson. They originally formed as an unnamed band to fill in for a vacant opening slot for a friend's band and from there the project broke away from side project status and became a fixture in the local rock community. Finally agreeing on the name Torpedo Rodeo, the band set out to write more material to flesh out shows and get away from the need to play covers.

Their influences include the Beatles, Jeff Beck, Nirvana, Man or Astro Man, and Led Zeppelin. They have combined these influences into a style of music that wraps surf and grunge in a retro rock package, with equal parts twang and distortion.

Their self-recorded debut album is due out on June 19, just a week before the band is set to go on the road for 2 weeks on a mini-tour of half the East Coast.
