    The performance of this song on _To Venus and Back_ was what made me appreciate Tori's work as I do today. She tore the roof off the mutha, set it on fire, and fucked in the ashes. I'd owned several of her albums for several years, but never listened to them seriously until after I heard that. I guess that's possibly because as a genuine weirdo myself — one who always got Hell for it — I take offence and irritation at people who are — or come off as — pretend weirdos for attention. Her whole "ooh, look at me, I'm so weird" vibe has always come off to me as an act, but her gift is real and deep. This song proved as much to me.
