• Something kinda sad about...

... the way that things have come to be.

So, my hate of the concept of blogging is well known among my friends, associates, and random people on the street I run up to and yell "FUCK! I HATE BLOGGERS AND THEIR BLOGGING BLOGGINESS!". It's with much contempt that I write this entry today, but I can't, in good conscience, leave this unsaid.

I saw Tool last night (December 10th, 2007 at the Nokia Theatre in "beautiful" downtown Los Angeles. This is far from the first time I've seen Tool in concert, and is my second concert at Nokia. Fortunately, this experience was a lot better than the last one when I saw Queens of the Stone Age there (NOTE: in spite of how ass the sound and my unfortunate seating situation was, I did not feel the need to blog about it), outside of the fact that from where I was sitting, Maynard could have been a bit more audible.. But more on that in a bit.

Let's focus on the basics of this show. …

    Previously released on my blog.
    ----------

  • I see a takeover...

Tool have managed to work their way into my playlist. It isn't quite difficult to do that, but what's different about this band is... Well...

I used to adamantly hate their sound. I don't know what it was, but I didn't like it. Steb managed to convince me to get their albums, so that's exactly what I did. I nabbed Undertow, Lateralus and 10,000 Days.

Since doing so, I've been addicted to The Pot, Vicarious, 10,000 Days (Wings Pt. 2) and Rosetta Stoned, since I haven't really listened that intently to the other two albums.

Their sound has literally blown me out of the water after letting the band grow on me, and I believe that when my new weekly chart is out on sunday, Tool will be number one with over 150 plays, which for one band in a week is a lot for me.

    Here's to the revolution.
