Anthony Jackson, born in Dingle, Liverpool 16th July 1938, died 18th August 2003 from heart and diabetic problems, brought on by alcoholism.

Joined 'The Searchers ' early 1960s, and was lead singer on two hits, 'Sweets for my Sweet' and 'Sugar and Spice'. Nicknamed Black Jack . Fell out with the group and left in 1964. Formed other groups, including The Vibrations, but his musicak career slowly foundered. Tried various…
