    As part of the TOWER FESTIVAL, WOMAD Presents World Music at the Tower will take place over the weekend of 19th – 20th September at the historic and prestigious TOWER OF LONDON. Performing on Sunday 20th is the legendary TONY ALLEN. Tony, known as the co-creator of afrobeat performed with the late, great Fela Kuti until 1978. Bandleader, composer and husky rapping vocalist, Tony Allen has recorded a string of groundbreaking solo albums since parting company with Fela. The ubiquitous Womad flags and workshops will also be a feature of the weekend. Other special guests for the Saturday and Sunday shows are to be announced shortly. Doors 3.30pm.
