Biography

Tone Dogs were formed in 1987 as a collaboration between bass players Fred Chalenor, Amy Denio, and recording engineer Drew Canulette. Denio and Chalenor thought a two-bass band would be great, and began writing music together.

Soon, they roped in other great musicians and friends on the recording – Matt Cameron of Soundgarden, Fred Frith and Hans Reichel from the European improvising scene, and others. Superbly recorded by Drew Canulette, the CD Ankety Low Day received a nomination to be nominated for a “Best New Recording” Grammy. The band went on to tour Europe five times and to release a second CD, The Early Middle Years.

I suspect that the files with the writing credit in the track title field were uploaded to multiple places by Spoot Music.

@ mdt - my download from emusic came with these credits included. I corrected this, though

It's a shame that whoever uploaded Ankety Low Day didn't tag the songs correctly. (Writing credits do not belong in the name field.) It's limiting the radio plays they might otherwise get because most listeners have correct tags, so the system doesn't see those as the same songs as on the system.
