TD could swing with the best of them especially w/Sy Oliver arrangements. It's too bad the sentimental gentleman of swing was at times too schmaltzy. I like this tune though.

LondonLouis--in all fairness, just who is in the same realm as the Duke or the Count? /;-) It's a little unfair to all those other perfectly good bands to compare them to the Gods...innit?

Nothing like an Hawaiian War Chant, so I am told by a man who used to live there.

This band was pretty good. Not quite up to an Ellington or Basie outfit. But Tommy was good, and this is a pretty well drilled outfit.

-Oremus- that's an awesome story it doesn't matter who it was, that's still really cool... especially how long they've been together =D

On my parents first date, they saw and danced to either Tommy or Jimmy Dorsey. They can't remember which. Still married after 51 years.
