Tomas Walker is an alias given to (Ashtar) Ron Allen within a sacred ceremony blessing his artistic and personal celebration of First Nation’s culture, music placing with a unique integrity the cedar flute within the global context where it can shine.
Ron Allen ( or Tomas Walker) is a recording artist with immense capacity including more than 36 CD’s on the Solitudes, Avalon, Sonic Aide labels. Tomas Walker is used only for the Reflections label however all the labels are from the ” Somerset Entertainment” parent and distributor.

Ron seems to focus most on the Bansuri, Shakuhachi and Ney along with his “Rag’Melodix Sonic Tinctures”. He is an exceptional saxophonist, pianist, percussion expanding on the CD’s to play koto, erhu, piano-alpha (2 solo c.d.’s) unique sound design. Thus he’s arrived at an artistic station independent of any one instrument although the Indian bansuri flute is his most featured, previously saxophones, and before that piano. Because of this diversity his music is featured at the apex of the film “Passion of the Christ” by Mel Gibson, and to show this diversity within the film “Natcho Libre” by Jack Black as well.
A master of Hindustani Classical Music and Indian Bansuri flute, jazz and contemporary His unique artistic creative capacity made it easy for the record company to bring his alias to life to help with the marketing placement of his music. At 47 years, Ashtar Ron Allen lives in Toronto, Canada, with Sri Devi and his 400 world flutes and collage of instruments.
