Their best, I'd say. They've never released an album that's less than competent/good, but this is the only one that verges on being truly excellent/great, IMO.

Churbabukkbukk is right! The artwork in this album is absolutely beautiful. Mine's frayed around the edges a bit now and I'm tempted to buy a new one.

begily: It's German, so the pronunciation is basically the same as English, except for the long "a" in "Gas". It means..."With Gas". It's used to refer to sparkling water. It's too late for me to analyze the meaning though, maybe just meaning that they went from a stripped-down sound on the self-titled to a prettier one.

Excellent album, it's hard to find something similar. Equal parts fury and suaveness.

Insanely cool stuff. Took a little while to warm up to some of it but brilliant nonetheless. Really getting into it lately.

The gold intricate pattern is so lush. It's the finest cd layout I've seen yet. Also I love the artwork in tomahawk.

I also love Capt. Midnight. It has to be one of many of my all time fave songs. It's beautiful. This album was one of the first Mike Patton related cds I listened to, way back last summer. The other cds were California and Directors Cut. All copied cds. So I decided to buy Mit Gas, I have to have hard copies in my cd collection. (member of 'I still buy cds' group) What a beautiful cd layout...

I love Capt. Midnight, there's something really calming about Mike Patton's voice in it. Which is somewhat unusual for him, I admit.

Compared to selftitled, this doesn't really do it for me. Its still an amazing record in its own right, though
