If there's one thing you can say about Mankind: There's nothing kind about man. BRILLIANT! [2]

The music in this sounds like it is heavily inspired by The Carny by Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds.

I'm having such a hard time tagging this song because I can't for the life of me describe the sound of this song. Really, there's no one like Tom Waits. Truly a unique individual.

This song just begs for a death metal or doom metal cover version. Think I may record one.

No disrespect to Mr. Waits, but everytime I hear this tune I think of the many orcs slaving away in the caverns of Isengard with Saraman watching over them keeping time with his staff...lol

Has Tom Waits ever written a bad song. Seriously. The early stuff is heartbreakingly romantic, then the 'beat' period and now the marvellous cacophony of his recent material. This is music/art in it's purest form.
