This album is what makes me proud to be an American. It's not patriotic, it's not counter-culture, its just can't have a label. It's not just beat, or jazz or rock or lounge. The undefinable mixture of styles makes it my version of America.

This album wasn't 90's it was 70's (I know because I have it) - A wonderful album that I knew when I first heard it. Still sounds as good.

This was my first Waits album I bought when I was about 15(mainly for the puppies on the front cover) but it changed my life. Personally I think it's his best work.

This album is brilliant, and I don't find it depressing at all. It's real noir. It's amazing. How I wish he would do another like this.
