• LOVE YOU TOM! Myself and a friend are 5 episodes deep into our Tom Waits podcast if anyone wants to listen. We're reviewing the albums chronologically, #6 'Blue Valentine' is up next week: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxRst_jRx-V37voc3dOiQKQ/videos
• Every time I am alone and drunk at 3am, I always play his first album.
• Anywhere I Lay My Head is too damn good. Perfect ending to an incredibly well-crafted album.

• There is something about his songs that reminds of Bukowski's books.
• Still alive?
• He is the good singer, I listen to his songs with pleasure. Its timbre of a voice very precisely reflects emotional contents of songs.
• Skvělá hudba
• Is there a woman on OKCupid that doesn't list Tom Waits as a favorite artist? It's uncanny. Almost eerie.

• The greatest.
• 'I’ve never met anyone who made it with a chick because they owned a Tom Waits album. I’ve got all three, and it’s never helped me.' ♥
• Musical creativity of this person for me something bigger, than simply music. Its songs it is experiences, this experience of life among people.
• Love this Music
• Is "Take One Last Look" any kind of preview of some new studio material or just Letterman's tribute?
• Tom has done two [artist]Blind Willie Johnson[/artist] covers for the kickstarter project the "The songs of Blind Willie Johnson".. Can't wait to hear it.
• Good call about the difficulty of Hellhammer, but I personally think Raindogs is Tom at his most anthemic: weird ditties like: "pack your bags to Singapore", "house is on fire children are alone", not to mention the straight out hits of Downtown Train and Blind Love.
• oh, boy. I suffer the same affliction: bad curly hair.
• I remember an anecdote of Fenriz's. He said he could never understand Hellhammer when he was younger, despite loving Celtic Frost. He tried for ages and then it finally clicked. Sometimes music is just a bit hard to penetrate.
• till the water runs clear
• I can't imagine how anyone would find rain dogs ''basic and uninteresting''. I understand not liking it, but uninteresting? that's just absurd.
• Why do you want to like it? And as for basic and uninteresting, Tom Waits builds music out of basic things. Lots of people find that interesting/moving/inspiring, but you're under no obligation to feel the same.
• Not at all.
• Quite weird that you want to like something oh.
• Keep listening to it. It will click eventually.Clap hands, then anywhere I lay my head etc
• Can anyone please explain to me what is so great about Rain Dogs? I just can't get into it. I want to like it, but the music is too basic and uninteresting for me.
• hows about a cali show tom?
• Antorip: Tom Waits= Hetfield + Ron Perlman
• Dirt In the Ground, could very well be the most honest, gut wrenchingly morose and wondrously stripped down song ever made.
• Are Tom Waits and James Hetfield, the same fella with different name?
• HELLO (´・ω・`)。♥。・゚♡゚・。♥。・゚♡゚・。♥。 from TOKYO JAPAN
