I always find myself reaching to turn the volume up on this record. Can never be loud enough. Masterpiece.

If someone wants to listen to something similar to the side a, check out Cardiac's Sing to God. That (double) album is a crazy pop masterpiece!

It's also his most emotional and personal album, in my opinion.

Todd's masterpiece! He was on fire! There are so many ideas going on here that they can barely be contained over the course of one album. It's bursting with colour, verve, wit, emotion, audacity, weirdness.. and the songs are terrific.

In the "didn't get it, but then really got it" category. Tagged: Pop perfection. Spot on. Pop has become such a dirty word, the 80s did a lot of damage, 90s put the nail in the coffin, 2000 and onward the corpse was dug up and taught choreographed dance moves. Pop really means good, catchy tunes with a wide appeal. This album is artsy enough for the artsy types, poppy enough for the pop types, just amazing. Glad I gave it another chance after a couple years.

Yeah Crustclock, the first half takes a couple listens to sink in, but once it does it's awesome!

I, too, bought this masterpiece of an LP the day it came out--this was way back in the day when "expanding one's mind" was definitely on the agenda, and this LP greatly added to that experience--brilliant.

At the time this record was released, every listener had been completely amazed by the quality and the fascinating production work this young artist was able to deliver to tired disco people counting the bpms on smoky dancefloors. Just as David Bowie turned into Ziggy Stardust, Todd became a wizard/a true star. Yu shoulda been there !
