    TTWS has stated that it is indeed sung from the perspective of James, his grief at Jesus's death, and his dim view of Paul's role in building up a religious cult around his brother when in reality "he never even knew the man." "like water through my hands / you'd give him any ending / but if he's all you said / would he fly from heaven into this world again?" It's really quite a brilliant, poignant song from the perspective of one brother missing another.

    I'd agree with that zeppyfish. I know Dulicinea was originally a concept album centered on Don Quixote though.

    So I'm curious: does anyone else think the narrative voice in this song is James, the brother of Jesus? I mean, you don't have to think of it that way, but for me it gives the whole thing a very powerful twist. "They took my brother / They ripped him from me / To twist his words as they did his body / deny his family / deny his beauty / to lay him down at the feet of those he couldn't save... But if he's all you say / Would he fly from heaven / to this world again?"
