Tjernobyl Dödar is an electropunk duo from the Norwegian parts of Sweden. Started out in 1993 as an imaginary arena rock band with no instruments, but over time when they could afford instruments and learned how not to play the ambitions were brought down to earth a bit. Tjernobyl Dödar is mostly inspired by the Pet Shop Boys, children’s songs and the Swedish punk wave of 1981-83. Once credited as Östersund’s only true underground band.

The band spent a year in the mid 90’s as a triplet, but went back to the original duo form. Through the years 1994-2000 they released 10 cassettes, one 2-h film, one cd, and appeared on a few compilations, but after the release of Rätt visa är att dela på allt in March of 2000 they haven’t been releasing anything. However, the band is still active, and recordings for a new cd are taking place.

I'm updating shows. I can't remember all, and it won't accept all names. Some band names are in use today by non Östersund based bands. Those we did not play with.
