Tiny Dancers

Tiny Dancers play a folk/indie pop/alternative mix. The band first rehearsed back in February 2005 and have come a long way since then, with debut album, “Free School Milk”, released June 11th 2007. Surprisingly, the band started in their first few rehearsals by playing songs from Beach Boys, claiming they (Tiny Dancers) get their influences more from a band’s style and passion, rather than the sound of their music. The band, who grew up in West Yorkshire, consist of David Kay (vocals and acoustic guitar), Chris Etherington (lead guitar, keyboard), Dez Wathey (bass guitar), Duncan Morrison (drums), and “Glover” (keyboards, percussion, guitar, glockenspiel).

I've been rooting through some old CDs and I was expecting Free School Milk would be one to get rid of. I was pleasantly surprised when I put it on! I'll check out Partyhorse (I hope they're still going).

Wow, i did not know that these guys had split. Shame. They were a cut above a lot of the other indie-pop acts that sprung up in the last couple of years. Glad i got a chance to see them live. Cheered me right up on that wet and miserable glastonbury morning! Gone but not forgotten
