Justin Turner, Chris Baran, Pierce Codina, Dustin Monk

The marching band paraded through trash-flooded streets with much loud clanging and rat-a-tat-tat. Pierce said, banging on a bass drum, “I want to boom boom boom like this a long time,” and Chris answered yes by playing his guitar like a tambourine. Meanwhile, in the faraway back—a kind of bleacher seats—Justin and Dustin cried, lung-topped, “Sirs, singers! Here, sirs!” Amid the caroming trombones and tubas, crashing of cymbals and gnashing of clarinets, Pierce and Chris heard the distant wail songs and boomed and jangled to the meeting place in the middle of the marching band. Justin and Dustin sang ooh wah ooh wah eee while many girls whirled batons and this was their first song. The singers racked brains, wondering, “How should we call each other?” And Pierce saw a glint in the garbage-blown street and thought: this is how we call each other. What did he have in his hands? It was a tin can… “No,” said Chris, “not just any tin can. A tin tin can.”

Indie bands blog has posted an article about the Spencer Bell Legacy concert. This is the first indie band site that has promoted the concert and it is my hope that they and other indie band sites will spread the word for not only the concert but the indie bands that perform. Please take a look and consider commenting.

Tthe auctions for the Spencer Bell Legacy concert allow you to bring one friend to share the fun with if you have the winning bid. So it makes sense for you and your friend to pool your resources to have a higher bid

In addition to the auctions, there are items being raffled and you do NOT need to be present to win (go to ). One of the items makes me really wish that I am not one of the organizers of this event.....someone will walk away with a signed 100Monkeys band portrait (note that all the bands will have a portrait including Tin Tin Can!) If you have heard of or been to a Bowling for Soup show, they donated a signed guitar. Simple Plan has donated autographed photos. How about this gem...a Kelly Rathbone one time only designed shirt signed by band. And be sure to check out the designs done for 100Monkeys by Punk You Chucks, because you can have your own unique Spencer Bell Legacy sneakers designed by them.

Hey all, I posted about the Portrait magazine questions for 100Monkeys. Well now Portrait magazine has a poll to pick the March cover and 100Monkeys is a choice. This is the issue where 100Monkeys discuss the Spencer Bell Legacy concert and their tour. Please go and vote to keep us way ahead of Chuck (currently 100Monkeys is at 49% and Chuck 34%) Apparently you only get one vote per IP address
