Tim Friese-Greene is an English musician and producer.

He’s known for having produced, co-written, and performed on four of Talk Talk’s albums between 1984 and 1991.

He has released an EP and two albums under the name Heligoland.

His first album released under his own name, ‘10 Sketches For Piano Trio’ was released in June 2009 on LTM records.

    10 Sketches is my favorite chill-out album. i'm not sure it would make sense, or even be a pleasurable listen for some people... but for me, there's a real sense of being guided instead of struggling to follow. this is Tim, totally doing his own thing, being as loose as he can without it totally falling apart. i would love to see Tim return to being a producer for more mainstream artists. this looseness and ability to push against traditional song structure creates amazing tension when paired with a strong song and melody.
