• My thoughts on "O"

    So it's been a week since I bought Tilly and the Wall's new album "O" and since my first listen, my feelings about it have changed a lot. At first, i was very disappointed. I thought it was a good album but songs in which the Tillies tried to change their sound such as "Bloodflower" and "Falling Without Knowing" were big misses. I thought that overall the album sounded a bit too angry from the band that brought us "Wild Like Children" and "Bottoms of Barrels". Now i feel that the album is much more successful than i thought and overcomes its flaws. The band retains their upbeat sound with songs like "Dust Me Off" and "Alligator Skin" while managing to change their sound successfully with "Chandelier Lake" and "Pot Kettle Black". This album might turn out to be a grower, but even if it doesn't I'll be satisfied. Tilly and the Wall have produced another great album. …
