Detroit, United States (1993 – present)

Tiles is a progressive rock band formed in Detroit, Michigan, USA in February 1993. Tiles features Mark Evans (drums), Chris Herin (guitar), Paul Rarick (vocals), and Jeff Whittle (bass). It is signed to InsideOut Music in North America and Europe. Over the past fourteen years, the band has developed and refined a sound that blends experimental progressive rock overtones with an aggressive hard rock edge. Mixed with lyrics of an “observational” or “human experience” quality, Tiles continues to cultivate a sound that rewards more than just passive listening.

Una excelente banda , para los amantes del metal progresivo, muy influenciados por Rush.

I've listened to 1997 -- Fence The Clear, 2004 - Window Dressing, 2008 - Fly Paper — all of them are really boring. Vocalist kind a sleeping, not singing. Hope 1999 - Presents of Mind will be more interesting.

More like all the shitty arena prog bands died by the 90s and all of the "urban" and refreshing new ones came out. =)

good. i needed a new prog rock band. All the good ones died off in the first half of the 90s. (Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Pink Floyd, etc.)

Is there any doubt that Presents of Mind is EASILY their best? I am also a bit saddened by the new album. Very disappointed in Fly Paper.

One can only hope that they get more coverage on the new CD, I'm hoping to see them when they promote the CD.
