Songwriter Laurier Tiernan wins awards and gets airplay on CBC radio and television in Canada, then moves to Japan. In the ensuing gigging, he hooks up with ex-U.S. Navy bassist Devin Wine. After a month of tearing it up as a duo in front of faithful audiences and English football hooligans, they welcome drummer Toru Hirasawa into the fold. An acclaimed jazz drummer, praised by Ryuichi Sakamoto, Toru is also an earnest student of Elvis Costello and Nirvana.
