I wasn't around in the 80s to listen to their records then but from the nowerday's point of view it is BY FAR their best studio-album. And yep: "The mission of dead souls" is NO studio-album...

most bands that release an album after a long hiatus end up releasing total shit. but, god damn, this is just as good if not better than some of their old stuff.

Crazy album. I had no idea what it was when I put it on at work. Got to listen to this at home.

A wonderful return to form, after a quarter of a century in hiatus, by the band that defined the industrial music genre in the mid 70s! Though this new album is more accessible than Second Annual Report it's unmistakably Throbbing Gristle and some of the tracks - such as Almost a kiss and the title track - are pure classics! One of the most welcome albums so far in 2007.
