From Wikipedia: Three and a Quarter is a 3-piece band from Lisbon, Portugal, and are known for their intensely visceral, sometimes even chaotic live shows. Following in the tracks of great reggae-influenced rock groups such as The Clash, The Police or Bad Brains, they deliver a highly contagious mix of dub/reggae dance grooves and noisy sonic grit without ever sounding derivative.

Feeling equally at home with both experimental ambient dub and head banging rock, the band has opened for a variety of classic acts. Playing alongside reggae all-time-greats such as Max Romeo or the Skatalites, in big-stage festivals with giants like Sonic Youth, Pj Harvey or the Cure, or in small sweaty basement bars, Three and a Quarter have been playing the underground and alternative circuits of Portugal, Spain, France and the USA since 1997.

Their debut album, Chubby Dubby, was written and recorded in New York City for Jahnotion Records, produced by Jason Corsaro (Iggy Pop, Madonna, Soundgarden), mastered by Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, Sonic Youth, Beastie Boys) and features guest appearances by members of the New York Ska-Jazz Ensemble and Rob Dinero (Beatnuts, DJ Honda). Tracks off the album have appeared in cinematic releases such as Step Into Liquid, extreme sports tv shows broadcast across the Americas and Europe, and in numerous surf/snowboard DVDs and punk/rock/reggae compilation CDs spanning from California to France (see releases).
