Whoever put this compilation together was clearly not too up on the scene at the time, given the already mentioned irony of placing a Thorns track on a tribute to Euronymous. Not to mention the fact that they got the track title wrong. The song is Ærie Descent, not Ærie Descends. Regardless, an excellent track. One of the first in the scene to turn black metal into something considerably more than just sped up punk riffs. This recording is off of the Tronderton tape demo from 92. Only two tracks on it, but anyone who enjoys this should dig it up.

Wonder who made the funny if odd choice to include a band with Snorre Ruch in it on a tribute to Euronymous?
