The album placed #3 on the UK Albums Chart and #2 on the Billboard 200 in the United States, selling over 90,000 copies in its first week. The Eraser was nominated for both the Mercury Music Prize and the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album in 2007.

This album took a while to warm to for whatever reason. I knew it was great from first listen but i didn't quite 'understand' it or something. Listening to it now for quite a while, feels like i am hearing a new album. Great stuff. Nice to hear various songs from this album on various movie soundtracks too.
