This way Up is the performing name of a musical nutcase from Lancashire, England. This loveable nutcase changed his name to ‘Mister the Beef Tongue’ after believing that he had gotten licked by a magical creature named The Beef Tongue. As a result of the licking he believes that he has now become part magical beef tongue and it is his aim to try and spread the word of beef through his music.

NOTE; This Way Up is also a band from the Herts and Essex area. They formed in late 2006 and have recently recorded a new demo which can be found at
The band consists of Polly Hardy-Johnson on vocals, Reece Akhtar on Guitar, Sean Evans on Guitar, Tim Mcdonnell on Drums and Jason Langdon on Bass.
The group have been likened to Kate Nash fronting a rock/metal band and are praised for their vocal and guitar melodies over hard rock and metal riffs and drums.

NOTE: This Way Up was also a now disbanded Christian Rock group from Cambridgeshire/Linclonshire formed in 1999, who split in 2002. Band members were: Wyndham, Malcolm, Leo and Paul.
