THIS IS HELL have just released their fourth LP entitled Black Mass. It's a blistering fast, loud, fierce knockout punch of metal, pulling influences from Metallica, Suicidal Tendencies, Slayer and DRI. Black Mass is a must have for fans of ALL heavy music. The New Wave Of American Thrash Metal is upon us.

I wish they hadn't stripped down the thrash influence with the new album, Black Mass was such a banger.

Have a "Sundowning" tour and play that album in it's entirety, then encore with your demo and self-titled. That would be a crazy tour.

Self-titled, demo and Sundowning are the best things this band could ever record. Weight of the World and Black Mass are good albums, but some songs are way too repetitive.

Misfortunes to me seemed a little too archetypical, but maybe it's "that sound" in general that doesn't appeal to me. Black Mass though is a beast, just such a nice and powerful blend.

Am I the only person who loved Misfortunes, and was bored out of my mind with their thrash direction at first? Don't get me wrong, WOTW and BM grew on me eventually... but Misfortunes had some melodic hc gold on it.
