10 Sep 2006, 11:59 by NajmiEarly last summer I learned that Third Eye Blind had added a new release to the July charts. I immediately figured it had to be their 4th album. After all it had been three years since their last album, Out of the Vein, was released and they had been playing a slew of new songs at shows for a while now. However, upon closer inspection I discovered that, instead of a new album, Third Eye Blind was releasing a "Greatest Hits" album entitled A Collection. This caught me a little off guard since all the bands that released best of collections after only three albums had broken up (Creed) or lost a key band member (Fuel). After checking their website and finding that the band hadn’t lost any members and they weren’t breaking up I figured that the only reason the album was released was to fill the long wait until they finally get around to making a fourth album. As such, A Collection does its job as a best of compilation, even throwing in a few incentives to try and entice fans to pick it up…
23 Jul 2006, 06:32 by fjdiazOk so there's no denying I've been reconnecting with a lot of music I used to like when i was a kid. So far I have about 6 hours worth of embarassing stuff I normally would never admit to liking, but it's gotten to the point where I just don't care anymore. There's no rule that says I cant be a sap and a black metalhead at the same time.
So here goes, the artists and songs I've come to love all over again:
Total Eclipse of the Heart
Everything I Do (I Do It for You)
Who Will Save Your Soul
You Were Meant For Me
All My Life
Bat out of Hell
Couldn't Have Said it Better Myself (I know, not a childhood one, but still...)
I would do anything for love
Set You Free
As I Lay Me Down To Sleep
Never Let You Go
The Day You Went Away
