    i once went to a place that does shakespeare plays in a shakespeare style theater (lights on, wooden benches, etc) and before the show some guy came out and performed this song on an acoustic guitar and then said he wrote the song or something and I stood up and yelled he was lying and it was by They Might be Giants, and I was thrown out of the theater. It was a field trip so I had to sit outside with the teacher. screw that guy

    I've owned this record forabout 12 years and I don't think I ever actually listened to this song until today. This is one of the best TMBG songs I've ever heard.

    Heh, I like how he sings "I think I'm already there" after the "there's no air" line.. just 'cause singing those two lines usually leaves me out of breath.

    This is the most awkward way of saying "you take my breath away" that I have ever heard. It makes my heart melt, because I am extremely attracted to the awkwardness everpresent in a John Linnell love song.
