I don't understand how AllMusic considers Mink Car to be better than this album. Half of Factory Showroom is better than all the tracks on that one.

I would agree that it's uneven, but I think that more speaks to how amazing some of the songs are (Spiraling Shape, The Bells Are Ringing, Metal Detector) then anything else. And 'cause it's TMBG, there's a wonderful diversity in styles :)
