Biography

Northern Ireland (1989 – present)

THERAPY? is an band from Northern Ireland. The band was formed in 1989 by guitarist/vocalist Andy Cairns and drummer Fyfe Ewing. The band initially recorded their first demo with Andy filling in on bass guitar. To complete the line up, the band recruited bassist Michael McKeegan.
With keen pop sensibilities, a skewed sense of humour and a willingness to draw inspiration from diverse sources (notably punk rock) , Therapy? came to attention in the early 1990s rise of alternative rock, but have endured for more than a decade since; Critic Johnny Loftus writes, “After a ten-plus year career that has seen them outlast competitors and outwit industry attempts at categorization, Therapy? are still headbangers with their thinking caps screwed on tight.”

Therapy? weren't the same when Fyfe vacated the drum stool IMO

The remastered version of Nurse kicks ass! Finally we can enjoy it fully - what dark and twisted songs... I reckon Babyteeth and Pleasure Death deserve remastering, too. Both the albums are absolute undiscovered classics

I like how the top tracks for the week are basically just the whole of Troublegum, plus Diane.

Gotta agree that the new album is pretty great. I ended up only listening to it twice when I first got it, forgetting I even owned it, but I've since come to realize my mistake. Some of the best song writing they've ever done, imo.

Yeah, BCOL is not bad record, but not so interesting as Troublegum or Infernal Love. My fav album of late Therapy? is Never Apologize Never Explain. Cause it has Polar Bear, Long Distance and Last One to Heaven... Amazing record.
