Hands down the hottest gig I've ever been to. There was so much sweat coming off me, my sweat was sweating, my fingers started to wrinkle from the moisture and my brave v-neck shirt darkened to a new colour.
The Darling Buds played first with a lot of verve and energy for their half hour set. It's always great to see support bands have their tracks sung back at them and their frontman looked genuinely thrilled to hear that.
For how much I like The Xcerts, it's a travesty that this is only the second time I've seen them live; first time headlining their own tour. Our Black Heart's upstairs venue is intimate with no barrier nor columns to make watching on difficult. The speakers are on top of you and the band is within touching distance and for a band with singable tunes like The Xcerts, it's nothing short of a winning combination.
