The Work were an English post-punk rock group founded in 1980 by multi-instrumentalist/composer Tim Hodgkinson and guitarist/composer Bill Gilonis, with bass guitarist Mick Hobbs and drummer Rick Wilson.   • This is seriously one of the best bands ever. Aside from post-punk, Henry Cow ties notwithstanding. The_Red_Agent is right: it IS garage-prog. "State-room" and "I Hate America" are the best ever. Ever.
