The Womb is a band formed in 1998 by English musician Alan Driscoll, currently based in Melbourne, Australia.

In addition to what is mentioned above, there is another band called The Womb from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, who play a blend of metal that incorporates progessive, thrash, punk, and sludge type riffs (just to name a few).
The Womb formed in early 2006 and have released 2 albums so far, a self-titled in 2007 & their most recent 2009 release This is the Doomlodge. Songs like “Finding Light”, “Arrival”, “One with Nature”, “Ravaged Wrist Slapback,” & “Your House Exploded” belong to this band.
