I think this band owes its name directly to the Decemberists. The Decemberists' name reflects a revolt in Russia, and also the mood of December. The Winter Revolution is essentially the same thing, the winter alluding to December (the general mood of winter) and revolution of course referring to the revolt the Decemberists allude to. Damn good music. They look unsigned, too. >_>w
