Biography

The Wingdale Community Singers are an alt-country band from Brooklyn, NY. Their folksy yet modern brand of Americana results from the vocals and songwriting talents of Hannah Marcus and Rick Moody, and the guitar-work of David Grubbs. All three members have strong musical pedigrees, with Moody having previously worked with Purple America and The Ice Storm, Grubbs formerly playing with Gastr del Sol, and Marcus cultivating a budding solo career. Their eponymous debut album appeared on Plain Records in 2005.
