London three piece, two of who later went on to join Babyshambles, and one the Littl’ans, have released various singles and one rare album through 1234 and High Society. The legendary album by The White Sport, ‘Songs The Postman Can Whistle’, is to be released on the 28th of August. Having sat dusty and forgotten in a shoreditch lock up for 2 years, it can now be bought from any good record shop, or ordered online via The White Sport obituary is documented by the release of their much sought after debut LP ‘Songs The Postman Can Whistle’ on Monday 28th August. This legendary album, which includes the single Dazzlin alongside 11 previously unreleased tracks, has sat forgotten in a shoreditch lock up until now. Led by the incomparable Andrew Aveling (formally of Add N to X, now of Littl’ans), White Sport cultivated a dedicated loyal following in their short life which saw them tour extensively with Babyshambles among others. Patrick Walden (Guitar) and Adam Ficek (Drums), now both of Babyshambles, completed the band’s formidable line up. This album is undoubtedly their finest moment, a triumphant collection of hard-firing post punk tracks, including the awesome tracks ‘Brown Town’ and ‘Learner Dancer’.
