Biography

‘The White Birch’ was a melancholic Norwegian band comprised of:
Ola Fløttum, Hans Christian Almendingen and Ulf Rogde. They have recorded five albums in their ten year existence. They are: ‘Self-Portrayal’ (1996, limited 300 copy vinyl only), ‘Left Hand EP’ (1997, limited 200 copy EP), ‘People Now Human Beings’ (1998), ‘Star is Just A Sun’ (2002) and ‘Come Up For Air’ (2005).
Their most recent record ‘Come up for air’ has received wide acclaim for its dreamy, majestic sound.
Hans Christian and Ulf left the band in summer of 2006, but Ola will continue ‘The White Birch’ and is currently working on a new album.
