By September 2009 much of the “new record” was completed with vocal appearances from Marissa Paternoster (The Screaming Females) on Orbiter, and Micah Valdes (Blacksonny & The Jack Lords Orchestra) on Crash Landing and Wingspan. Also joining the vocal roster are newcomers Lynsey Vandenberg, Cindy Torres and Patrick McGrath.
What inspired the project? Christian - “At the time, I was listening to a lot of electronica-ish from all over the globe; Seu Jorge (Brazil), Royksopp and The Kings of Convenience (Norway), Telepopmusik (France). I fell in love with their records. The vibe, the sonic textures and the mood they created with their music; it was beautiful and haunting -I was hooked! I wanted to create music that echoed similar elements. After 2 years of being away from recording and playing gigs it felt right to be making music again”.
The debut album, Telescope (release April 25, 2010), showcases mid-tempo songs that hinges on airy guitar lines textured by analog synths and digital instruments. Weaving from the hypnotic and the ethereal to dance anthems and head bobbing grooves, it follows in the footsteps of contemporary northern atlantic and european electro acts.
