    I like the deadpan vocals a lot. I have to be honest and say, though, that I half-listened to the story and half just listened to the vocals as a mere instrument, basically. The lyrics didn't matter to me more than his voice. It just seems fantastic.

    Just discovered if I take my left headphone out, I can cut out the vocals and just hear the instruments. Not that the vocals are bad, but after you hear them enough times its nice listening to the background music by itself

    Queensixteen: A Day In The Life was a John Lennon composition that McCartney did the middle "chorus" on in 1967. That said, the song received airplay to the point of boredom, unfortunately, since it is the best song on an otherwise over rated Beatles album. You make a good point, though.
