Nah Nico definitely fit the songs on their debut. The reason this song works so well is that the melody and general presentation of it is very sweet but upon further speculation of the lyrics, it's quite cynical and dark. And i feel like it makes the song even better when thinking about the personalities (or at least, how they were perceived by most) of Mo and Nico.
